As a member you are welcome to book any mountain lodge, winter or summer, at the members’ rates. You are welcome to bring family or guests at all lodges at the guest rates, depending on availability. Club Members have priority access during winter booking season. It is a family-friendly, affordable accommodation across the three mountains.
Joining the CSIR Ski Club provides a cost effective opportunity to participate in a range of high country activities with like-minded people in a friendly and communal environment.
Eligibility
To be eligible to join, you must fit into one of the following five categories
All CSIRO employees;
All DSTG employees;
'Friends of CSIR Ski Club' (nominated and seconded by existing members) or
Direct Family members of Associate, Full, Life and Foundation members (this includes spouses, children and parents).
Work Parties
Work parties are a great way to get a feel for the club and meet some of the club members. A condition of membership is the participation in a number of work parties across all three mountains. These work parties must be completed within the first two years of joining.
Costs
The costs involved in joining the club comprise a joining fee, annual membership and a compulsory loan to the club. For details, please refer to the Membership Application forms, attached below. The compulsory loan is partially due on joining with the remainder to be paid within the first two years of membership. The compulsory loan is refunded upon resignation from the club.
Upon joining the club, you will also receive the regular CSIRSKI newsletter via email that will keep you informed of the latest events, news and club activities and can join our facebook site.
