Purpose of the CSIR Ski Club
The CSIR Ski Club is a family oriented club that strives to promote alpine activities by providing economical, year round alpine accommodation for club members, their families and guests. Whilst providing high quality facilities at three Australian alpine areas in Victoria to enjoy, the club also strives to promote a club spirit that allows members and guests to enjoy each others company whilst staying at our lodges.
The club facilities are not only available to skiers in the winter months. Walkers, mountain bike riders, hikers and socialisers enjoy visiting the mountains in the Spring, Summer and Autumn non-ski season periods at very competitive rates.
The "club spirit" differentiates the club from other commercial mountain accommodation. Although members and guests enjoy very affordable accommodation, the club spirit is actively kept alive through members helping out at maintenance work parties at the lodges, contributing to meetings and getting together for social events.
Not only can club members and their guest stay at the Club's Victorian lodges (Mt. Hotham, Mt. Buller or Falls Creek), but reciprocal booking rights with the NSW CSIRO Ski Club allows booking rights to lodges at both Perisher and Jindabyne.
